Privacy for AI connections

Scope

This page explains the AI Prompt Genius cloud and MCP integration. It supplements our general privacy policy. The browser extension can be used locally without an account. Connecting an AI assistant requires an account, Pro access, and a cloud-synced library.

Information processed

• Account identity, including your email address, is used to sign you in and identify your library.
• Cloud-synced prompts, titles, descriptions, tags, folders, ordering, and settings are stored to provide library and sync features.
• Pro entitlement records are used to determine whether your account can access the integration.
• OAuth authorization records, permissions, tokens, and connection metadata are used to authenticate assistants and control access.
• Request identifiers, library revisions, mutation results, and usage counters support reliable updates, avoid duplicate writes, and enforce service limits.

WorkOS handles account authentication. Cloudflare hosts the application and its cloud storage. License validation may use the provider associated with your Pro purchase, including Gumroad for legacy licenses.

What your assistant can access

When you approve a connection, the selected permissions apply to your entire cloud library, not just one folder. Read access allows retrieval of prompt and folder content. Edit access allows creation, editing, movement, renaming, and reordering. Delete access allows deletion. Content returned to the assistant is processed by that assistant’s provider under its own terms and privacy policy.

The MCP integration does not give AI Prompt Genius access to your entire chat history or browser history. It receives the tool requests and arguments the connected client sends, which may include prompt content and identifiers.

How information is used

We process this information to operate the library, synchronize changes, verify access, execute authorized requests, troubleshoot issues, and protect the service. We do not sell your prompts or use their content for advertising.

Your controls and retention

You can export your prompts, choose permissions when connecting, and revoke all AI-client access from Account → AI connections. Revocation stops future authorized access; it does not remove information already returned to your assistant.

Synced library records remain until you delete them or your account. Sync deletion markers and operational authorization or usage records may remain separately from active library content. Account deletion removes the active synced library and initiates deletion of the authentication account. Locally stored copies remain on your device until you clear them.
